Beacon Shores is situated on a peninsula in the southern section of Lake Keowee in Upstate South Carolina. Our neighborhood and surroundings are quiet and peaceful but don't be fooled. Within easy driving distance are all the town/city conveniences, bustle and excitement anyone could want: 15 minutes from Seneca, 30 minutes from Clemson (great university town), about 1 1/2 hours from both Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC (and their airports), and less than 3 hours from Charlotte and Atlanta. Our location on the lake is just about perfect: far enough up the lake to be quiet and secluded and close enough to civilization that you don't have to plan a day trip to get milk for your morning coffee. A view from above shows our location and clearly illustrates why we refer to ourselves as a "Lake" Neighborhood.
